Employee Resource Groups

Our Employee Resource Groups are a cornerstone of our culture and play a key role in the engagement, experience and education of our employees. Across our London office and Humber Refinery, we have the following ERGs:

  • Charity & Community Initiatives – This group identifies our yearly charity partner and promotes volunteering opportunities. In the past, we have facilitated events such as Techy Tea Parties, a Beach Clean Up and climbing the 3 Peaks.
  • Inclusion & Diversity Network – This group helps champion our I&D mission through events that aim to increase awareness and understanding.
  • Sports and Social Clubs – To allow employees to get to know each other in non-work settings, our Sports and Social clubs organise sporting events/competitions, fitness classes, golfing trips, theatre trips, food clubs and our annual Dinner Dance.
  • SAFE Team – This team works to always maintain a safe working environment by raising awareness, improving safety behaviour and promoting wellbeing.
  • Early Careers Network (ECN) – The ECN aims to provide young professionals within their first five years of their energy industry career with opportunities to network with senior management and other employees within the European Phillips 66 portfolio.
  • Onboarding Team – This team works in conjunction with HR to support new employees transition into the company. This involves meeting with new hires, providing a business overview and inviting them to a social event with leadership and other new starters.
  • Working Parents Community – This group meets informally on a periodic basis over lunch to discuss matters of shared interest, hints, tips and useful resources and to provide mutual support.
  • Communications Team – This group ensures employees are kept up to date with any relevant and upcoming events.
  • Emerging Energy Peer Group – This group provides a platform to research and analyse emerging energies to educate and facilitate debate amongst the wider office.
  • Women’s Network – The Humber Women’s Network connects women to a support system in the workplace. The network is open to any employee who wants to be supportive to a respectful and inclusive working environment.

Inclusion and Diversity

We lead with inclusion as without it, diversity cannot thrive. In the words of our Chairman and CEO, Mark Lashier:

“At Phillips 66, inclusion and diversity are important parts of our culture. We believe we all have a responsibility to carry our company forward, build on successes and learn from failures. We do this by introducing new ways of thinking, working for the greater good, and uniting in our vision of providing energy and improving lives to create the future together.

We value our differences because it’s the right thing to do, it’s good for business, and the rapidly changing world requires it. Our job is to meet the world’s growing needs for secure, reliable energy while pursuing a lower-carbon future. A diverse workforce powered by an environment of inclusion unleashes the creativity to rise to this challenge and deliver exceptional results.

Our goal is for everyone to champion and benefit from a fully inclusive culture and diverse workforce. We work toward this goal every day by practicing inclusive behaviors, holding our leaders accountable and fostering an environment where all employees feel safe, seen, heard and respected.

Our people are our competitive advantage, so we encourage them to think big and try new things to develop solutions that advance our priorities and position our company for long-term resilience. By embracing the diversity around us and empowering everyone to bring their unique skills, perspectives and experiences to the table, we are confident we will find new ways to create and deliver sustainable energy to the world while building a great place to work.”
